The Marketing intern will join the team and assist with the implementation of content marketing strategies through market research and content writing targeted at communicating with MainOne’s customers and prospects to impact sales and marketing strategies.

This role offers the intern a total immersion into a fast-paced marketing world and the successful candidate will work closely with key members of staff, external consultants, and agencies to learn about content marketing, corporate communications and marketing in a business to business environment. This role will be instrumental in reinforcing our thought leadership positioning, increasing customer engagement, and gaining visibility for our brand among clients and prospects.

1. Content Writing:

  • Work with the communications team in the ideation, generation, and publication of content for online and offline communications for MainOne and its subsidiaries across multimedia platforms.
  • Work with editorial team to integrate keywords into content strategy to drive SEO success and evaluate the effectiveness.
  • Creating engaging and original blog posts, social media posts and other resources for targeted audience to drive traffic to websites, generate leads and subscribers.
  • Assist with writing and editing of promotional literature including brochures and company presentations and newsletters.
  •  Repurposing existing and approved content across multiple platforms.

2. Market Research:

  • Gather data and insights on consumers, competition, and industry developments across geo locations, and consolidate information into reports and presentations.
  • Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ product offerings, marketing, sales, and methods of operation, and identify market trends.
  • Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.

 3. Assist to   contribute   to   the   total   effectiveness   of   the company’s    messaging    communicating    openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas and working as a positive, engaged team member.

4. Provide support for the Marketing Team as required.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, English, Marketing or other relevant field.
  • 0-1 year’s work experience in a Marketing role.
  • Proven ability to curate content, copy writing and community management.
  • Experience with WordPress, WIX and basic HTML is a plus.
  • Search engines, web analytics and business research tools acumen.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and best practices.
