Job Title: Project Management Officer

Responsibilities

  • Daily co-ordination and tracking of customer projects and other deliverables, as assigned
  • Provide both verbal and written communications regarding project status, risks and issues to project stakeholders
  • Track all assigned projects and provide regular project performance information, via automation tool, as may be required
  • Participate in the development of standard project management templates and update of existing processes
  • Monitor critical dependencies between projects and ensure proper alignment of all projects.
  • Coordinate Weekly Meetings/Project Review Meetings, communicating action points as may be required for each project.
  • Follow up on agreed weekly tasks, issues and resolution plans as assignment
  • Adhere to communications and collaboration plans for each project assigned
  • Compile and issue weekly reports on customer projects / assigned work
  • Undertake document analysis and review of lessons learnt, where applicable
  • Update document management system with all project documents and drawings.
  • Update PMO project dashboard, escalate issues and identify critical success factors for each project.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • B.Sc./ B.Tech /HND in Engineering, Computer Science, Project Management or any other related field.
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in Project Management / PMO function with Project Management Certification e.g. (PMP, Prince2, SCUM, Agile or equivalents) and with active experience in PMO role including short timeline customer project in the IT/ Telecommunications sector.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively is a strong requirement
  • Ability to negotiate, deal with complex situations and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to prioritize work
  • Interpersonal & teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project
